Matthew Newton

Coach

Hello! I’m Coach Matt, and I’m thrilled to have to the opportunity to be part of a thriving robotics team.

Blending my alpine coaching experience of 7 years with the technical computing skills I honed during my bachelor’s degree in computer science. I am now pursuing a master’s in human computer interactions (HCI) focusing on the design of novel systems in epidermal computing. Overall, my goal is to guide aspiring young minds in the realm of robotics, teaching skills and techniques applicable to all aspects of a student’s life.  I look forward to working with you in our robotics 101 classes as well as our Vex IQ club teams.
