This year’s Summer Robotics Camp has been one of our most successful programs to date, with over 60 participants joining in the fun. The camp provided a hands-on introduction to robotics for students of all ages, sparking curiosity and excitement about STEM.
Campers began their journey by learning the basics of robotics and programming. Using VEX IQ kits and other platforms, they built simple robots that could navigate obstacles and perform programmed tasks. These foundational skills gave them the confidence to explore more advanced concepts as the camp progressed.
Throughout the program, students were encouraged to work in teams, solving challenges together and presenting their creations. This teamwork not only enhanced their technical knowledge but also developed their leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
One of the highlights of the camp was the mini competition, where teams showcased their robots in action. Parents, mentors, and fellow campers cheered as robots performed tasks ranging from obstacle runs to ball collection challenges.
The camp concluded with participants sharing their favorite moments and new skills. Many expressed excitement to continue with the robotics club, showing that the camp was not only fun but also inspiring for the future.
